reflections

the years pass, but what really changes?

sure, we're all 12mths older. more noticeable in the kids, I guess! but essentially, the thoughts, the feelings are much the same.

busy, tired, frustrated. overwhelmed some days.
don't get me wrong, there's not much I'd really change if I got the opportunity, and every day is different, a year takes you through such a range of emotions.

but in the end, the same themes echo through between the lines.

strange really. did I expect it to be any different? probably not.

Rhiannon's dress

Proud to announce that I've actually finished the dress, 2 days before the event! Mighty impressive really, given my track record with deadlines ;o)

I still have to do the hand finishing on the jacket, but here's some gratuitous show-off photos of the dress anyway.

busy busy always busy

Seems to be the story of my life at the moment! If I'm not frantically busy trying to get something done, then I should be, and am feeling guilty about taking time out!

Sooo many things happening at the moment.
Trying to finish Rhiannon's dress and jacket for her communion/confirmation - still got 2 weeks to get that done...
Housework... well, I read the FlyLady website, lol, and it sounds great. Does reading it count?? Or do I actually have to do something??
The business... something very new and exciting is happening at the moment, but that in itself is taking lots of time and energy to bring it all together, so it's exciting, and I'm over-the-moon happy about it, but it definately adds to the 'busy busy' feeling!
and then there's just the general 'life with 4 kids' stuff, so yeah... feeling pretty good, but soo much to keep track of!

Anyway, I'll take some progress pictures of the dress soon so I can show them off here.
Off to feed the 'starving' 4 yr old now, lol!!

random ramblings

Rhiannon is on camp - she left yesterday morning, and gets home tomorrow afternoon. Technically you'd think that things would be a lot quieter with one less child, but they're not! Maybe I need to take a different child out of the equation, and see if that works better next time! ;o)
We had lots of fun packing up all her food for her to take, and she's been looking forward to this for months, so I hope it lives up to all her expectations.

Mikey has finally gotten rid of the last thorn from his tangle with the spikey tree last year. I'll try to take some better photos soon, the ones we took on Tuesday night didn't turn out at all! It was about 16mm long, so decent size! (The other 2 removed at the hospital at the time were 12mm and 18mm long) When Mikey does something, he certainly does it thoroughly!

is growing up so fast! Only a week until he turns 2! Where has my baby gone??

Me...
well, I'm feeling completely unmotivated to do anything much at all. (hence sitting on my bum in front of the computer, posting this!)
Still getting over my cold from last week, but I really need to find some inspiration soon, because I just have sooo much to get done! The kids all need new clothes sewn, I've got material waiting for me to sew stuff for myself, Rhiannon's communion/confirmation is only a month away...
aarrgghh!

OK, off to at least attempt to do something constructive with my day!
